2017-2018 School Supply Lists

We know how important it is to prepare for the new school year! Our classroom supply lists for the 2017-2018 school year are now available. Take a look!

2017-2018 School Registration and Fees

Beginning with this school year, we will charge every middle school student a $20 activity fee at the time of registration.

Parents must come by the middle school office on the scheduled day for their respective grade level and fill out enrollment paper work prior to the first day of school. We ask that you pay for all fees for classes, such as music, construction etc. at that time.

Students will need to pay fees for non-instructional, extra-curricular activities, such as sports, academic competitions etc. at the beginning of the respective season. Only students participating in these activities will be required to pay a fee.

The new fee schedule is available on this website. Students will receive their schedules for the new school year upon completion of registration.

In addition to the required fees, you will need to bring the following with you to complete registration:

  • Returning students: current proof of residency (the 5th grade students are considered as returning students)
  • New students: birth certificate, current immunization records, current proof of residency

Registration hours will be from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, on all days.

Starfish Awards for March 1

The starfish program at the middle school is inspired by the famous starfish story about a young man seen throwing starfish back into the ocean. When confronted by another and told he couldn’t possibly make difference because there were too many starfish on the beach, he picked up a starfish, threw it back in the ocean, and replied, “I made a difference to that one.”

The WMS starfish program is to recognize those students that are doing things to make a positive impact on their school, community, and world. If a student is seen doing a random act of kindness, helping their fellow students or teachers, and/or being considerate of others, we nominate them for the award. Our hope is that all our students and faculty do small things every day to make our school a better place to work and learn.

Congratulations to starfish recipients Brian Magana, Alexa Montano, Alessandra Lechuga, Gavin Watkins, Javier Coronado, Nate Clement, Eulises Lara, Julian York, Jose Garcia, David Allred, Angle Hernandez, Taylon Cooke, and Areighna Diring for making a positive difference at WMS! Way to show Cowboy integrity!

Be sure to check out this page throughout the year for the students who help make WMS a great place to learn. We try to update every two weeks.
